Sanctuary

This is Tiki, an Umbrella Cockatoo who is residing in our sanctuary. We are working on rehabilitation from severe psychological trauma. Tiki was locked away in a closet for 8+ years constantly screaming for attention and pulling out his feathers from, frustration, boredom, lack of light, terrible diet and that is just the beginning. His skin is very dry due to being next to a washer and dryer constantly blowing out dry air. His cage was way to small for his species and he was generally lacking the love and attention the all Too's thrive on.
Tiki is on his way to recovery, taking baby steps, but making progress everyday. He is no longer trustful of humans for good reason. He will take a lot of work to get back on track but we are confident that he will heal from his past neglect.
